Site Update
16 February 2019
It's taken longer than expected, but the Hardware Confusion 2019 article will be published shortly. I'm putting the finishing touches to it as we speak, editing it down to reduce the self-indulgent waffle as much as possible. Since completing my new system build a month ago, I've learned a great deal about getting the most out of it. So rather than just being my initial gushing impressions of new hardware, the article is a true system optimization guide, and also the closest I'll get to releasing a Windows 10 tweak guide.

Captchas
4 February 2019
Not really news, but this Article on Captchas caught my attention. It confirms what most of us have been experiencing, namely an exponential increase in the ridiculously ambiguous difficulty of the picture captchas Google provides for virtually every website now under the guise of "preventing bots". You have to wonder if this really is the best solution the highest paid, smartest tech minds in the world can come up with, or these clunky, error-prone, proliferating captchas are in fact deliberately aimed at causing enough annoyance to discourage the use of VPNs and do not track/private mode in browsers which defeats Google's preferred goals.
